Have you ever thought about communicating with your baby before they could talk? Sure, we can talk to babies, but they can't talk back to us, they can't communicate, or can they? I have read about and seen the benefits of signing with young children before they can communicate verbally. In fact, I have seen first hand my child communicating with me before she could talk. But I always wanted to expand my knowledge, but didn't have a way to do so. Then I was introduced to the WeeHands Online Sign Language Class. I am so excited to be learning more and teaching all the children. In fact, the older girls are looking forward to teaching their younger siblings!

Easy Access Bandages

Can something as simple as opening a three inch long bandage really make people smile and say “Wow?”

I think it actually can.

When I was sent a box of Easy Access Bandages, I was a bit skeptical.

(I won't lie. Improving upon my homemade electrical tape and paper towel bandage is gonna be tough for anyone to do.)

Blargh!

Some days I hate blogger.

I had google analytics installed... and it worked. 2 months ago. I went to check the numbers and it doesn't work.

Home is where the barn is

A plain, weathered board that was once a shelf. It's seen better days but had the PERFECT look for what I'm about to share.

I mentioned on Facebook that I went shopping yesterday with an awesome friend and came away with ideas. (Broke people don't get to shop too much. lol)

I saw a sign that said "Home is where the barn is"

It cost about $30... on sale for about 50% off... beautiful sign though.

It looked like it was stenciled paint and vinyl with some cheap rope on a "distressed" board.

So I came home and looked around, found a few supplies and went to town on it.

Halloween... FINALLY!

My kids and I finally got to dress up and run around like the candy addicted fiends that we are.

It was great. They brought a friend and crossed the town in record time. (That could be because their legs are longer, or because it's November and there were only about 1/4 of the houses lit up that normally are)

Pre-Sandy AC trip

Yes... it's a little late getting up... but, I did want to share some pictures from Atlantic City.

We took a bus trip down on October 21 and had a great time.

I was lazy getting the photos processed through and then had a good stint powerless.

This past weekend was a two day race for our R/C cars.

Yesterday was "Halloween"

(which I will have pictures of soon)

So... here is my Atlantic City trip.

What a week!

Two kids home from school with no power, no phone, no internet.

We didn't get the water from the storm (only some rain) but we really got the wind. I had one tree drop a present on my car and another in the back yard uproot itself.

It feels really good to have power and heat again!

Hope everyone else fared better than I did!
